chicken and bear adventures

WALT: create and develop our own character descriptions and ideas.

This term we have been working on narrative (story writing)
we played a game called 3 words

It starts with a topic like chicken and bear and every one in the circle gives three words to make the starting sentence as one person records on the board for us all to share an then we build our own stories off the beginning sentence.

Heres some of the finished adventures

Marshmellow Towers

Since we're all new to this class, Mrs Faalili and Whaea Pene had planned a team building activity for us as a way to get to know each other and to work with people we normally wouldn't work with.

We were given half a bag of spaghetti and half a bag of marshmellows. The instructions were to build the tallest and strongest tower using only the materials given. Fair to say that some people ran out of marshmellows because they got hungry...aye Byron.

There were some very creative towers, including a windmill, a beach and some stars. Take a look at the creativeness in Room 13.

GTS Athletics Day

Today, we had our annual Athletics Day. It started off with the best weather ever - and then it slowly turned into grey, dull skies with heavy clouds.

We still managed to have lots of fun though. Lots of exciting activities in our houses with some races against the teachers.

Check out some of the photos we took from the day.

Film #6 - Fantastic Fish Fingers present 'Don't be a bully'

Fantastic Fish Fingers

"Don't be a bully"

This group included David, Moni, Khin Linn & Zafar. This film is a drama and it is about two students who don't care about anyone else but themselves. They are late to school and mean to others. I wonder if they'll change their ways?

You'll have to watch to find out.
