Matariki Kites with Rm 3

For buddy class, we did some learning about Matariki, the Maori New Year. Together, we designed our own kites. We used kebab sticks, tape, black paper to make the kite and then used pastels (gold, white and silver) and read and white feathers to decorate them. Then we got to fly them. We had so much fun making and flying our kites.

In Kiwican today, we wrote poems about ourselves. We're really proud of the poems we wrote and we wanted to share some of them with you.

Our rubbish catchers
